                                          Knowledge in Video Form

Sometimes the best way to learn is to have an expert just lay it out for you, and you absorb it.  This is my page dedicated to that phenomenon.  It has some of my favorites, as well as links to great repositories of videos.

                                          1. www.TED.com is a great website where big thinkers expound new and refreshing ideas, free to the public!
                                          2. MIT has a site of FREE video lectures.                              Here is the Link to their full course site
                                          3. Fora.tv is also an excellent site that highlights intellectually-stimulating topics.
                                          4. Academic Earth is also a great video catalog of videos from varied sources (Harvard, Stanford, etc.)--with a rating system so you know what the best videos are!
                                          5. Yale also has an impressive array of free videos and courses.
                                          6. Though it is mostly audio, iTunes University is a most promising development.
                                          7. The teaching company has an eclectic collection of material, but it costs money...

                                          8. Perhaps THE BEST one, though, is the Khan Academy--the explanations are SO simple!
Barry Schwartz on "The Paradox of Choice"
"The Persuaders" talks about how advertisers think and what their strategies are
"Merchants of Cool" specifically deals with the idea that media is trying to shape culture in specific ways in order to create desires and new markets.
