Tonight I attended one of the most enlightening, rejuvenating, and all around awesome events of my senior year! I was invited to participate in an interfaith dialog with about 14 members of another faith--in this case, evangelical students from California. We had quick introductions, then divided into groups. We all had an understanding that this was primarily about understanding one another--about seeing what we actually believe (instead of basing it off of 'what we've heard')--and not about converting one another. We could ask any question. We talked about a lot of things: from the way we defend marriage to our conception of heaven. It was most enjoyable--I think both sides grew significantly in understanding. I know I did.
